2 Pack Epoxy MIO is a high solids, high build epoxy intermediate coating. Pigmented with Micaceous Iron Oxide, it provides excellent barrier properties making it the ideal coating for bridges, tank exteriors, steel fabrications and industrial structures. Works as a primer/intermediate coating which can be overcoated with a range of conventional two pack topcoats. As part of a full system it provides excellent protection, in a range of environments. It conforms to the compositional requirements of BS5493:1977. Ideal as a maintenance coating since it can be easily applied by brush.
The product is suitable for the protection of steel which has been primed with a suitable epoxy primer, in environments ranging from C1 to C5 as defined by
ISO 12944. It is ideally suited for use on structural steel, both internal and external, in a range of demanding environments. The product may also be
used as a high build finish, when a UV stable aesthetic topcoat is not required.
